MapMyIndia has announced the launch of its sophisticated GPS Navigator, the Road Pilot in the country. The product provides real time GPS update to users. It comes with complete maps of 620 Indian cities, 576,000 towns and villages; 30,000 tourist locations, and 2 million unique destinations,
The Road Pilot comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and boasts of turn-by-turn voice assisted GPS navigation. It has also been provided with a snooze option to save power. This is apart from the sleep option it has using which the entire gadget can be put to sleep and revived with the touch of a button. The Road Pilot does not require GPRS or a packet data connection in order to connect and for the same reason, it is an "always on" service. The only requirement is that you should be at a location that can directly connect to satellites. This, for example, will not work well indoors. But then, you wont need a navigation system indoors!
The Road Pilot can be yours for Rs. 7,900. We leave you with a few images of the device.
