Sony's upcoming VIAO M series netbook showed up early on the web unofficially and more than two listings about the same were posted at Notebook Review forum. This is yet another netbook with standard Pine Trail like netbook configuration which was spotted at multiple locations. At the online retail site TESCO, this new Sony VAIO M series islisted for 300 pounds which is roughly around $450 (Rs. 22,000 approx).
The upcoming Sony VAIO M series has an average netbook like design but the panel finishing looks different. Batman's black color like chasis bearing VAIO M netbook will have a 10.1-inch LCD display screen. VAIO M netbooks will feature 1.66GHz Intel Pineview N450 microprocessors, 1GB DDR2 RAM and 250GB storage. Other specifications include Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth and built-in webcam. No other information on the battery life was listed.
This is yet another netbook to join the Intel Pine Trail platform based netbook cluster from Acer, Asus, Samsung, MSI, HP, Dell, LG and Toshiba. Close pricing and minor hardware difference amongst the netbooks offered by these vendors make it difficult for consumers to make a choice. However, the battery life is the most important characteristic looked upon when buying netbook.
