Gaming Roundup: SC Insurgency DLC

As the dates for E3 Convention approaches, we expect more updates and leaks while game publishing and developing companies prefer to stay tight-lipped. Amongst the hustle-bustle of Google's announcements, we managed to pick few important updates from the gaming industry happenings.

SC Conviction: Insurgency DLC due on May 27


Ubisoft has announced new downloadable content pack dubbed Deniable Ops Insurgency for its recently released game - Splinter Cell Conviction. This new DLC pack would be available for Xbox 360 owners through Xbox LIVE and to PC users via Games for Windows Live, reported VG247. Insurgency DLC brings a brand new mission for Archer and Kestrel on four additional maps in the Deniable Ops Modes. Take challenges in Hunter, Face Off, Infiltration or Last Stand for unlocking new achievements. Users can play in settings from docks of San Francisco to the New Orleans Cemetery. Though Sam Fisher may have his conviction, the Black Arrow would be still out there to waiting for him. Microsoft would be offering Deniable Ops Insurgency DLC for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE while the PC pricing is yet to be confirmed.

The release date of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 has been postponed from summer this year to the latter half of this year. As per the official release, SEGA's Development Team is focusing to keep 'the game high-quality, continuing tuning and balancing of levels and interface and overall maintaining the kind of polish that an important game like this demands'. SEGA also announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is also under development for iPhone and iPod Touch. No specific release date for the game was given.
