LittleBigPlanet 2 delayed till January 2011

LittleBigPlanet 2 delayed till January 2011Media Molecule, the creator of LittleBigPlanet game, has pushed the release date of LittleBigPlanet 2 game to January 2011 from November 2010. The sequel to the popular LittleBigPlanet game is one of the most anticipated game titles this year due to its support for PlayStation Move - the motion sensing game controller. Developers claimed that the delay is because they want to polish the game. Looks like developer Media Molecule has got a whiff of Blizzard's developers.

LittleBigPlanet is an immensely popular game on the PlayStation 3 platform which lead Sony to buy out Media Molecule. With the PlayStation Move motion sensing game controller already available now, every gamer was looking forward for some fun with LittleBigPlanet Sackboys in the holiday season. Media Molecule said it isn't happy with the current version of the game, and wants to polish it more.

On the official LittleBigPlanet blog, Media Molecule guys posted, "We know this will come as disappointing news for all you LittleBigPlanet fans, and believe us, we are disappointed too. We are a tight-knit team and we take enormous pride in our work, so to raise the bar we've set with the original LittleBigPlanet, a game that has been so embraced by all, we've agreed to allow ourselves a bit more time to deliver the experience that our great fans and community deserve. We are truly sorry, but hope you understand that we have to build the best possible game, as it is the foundation of our community."

Now all those who were really looking forward to have some fun with family and friends during the holiday season will have to wait till January-end. However, will it affect the PlayStation Move sales at the moment?

Nonetheless, Media Molecule guys also pointed - that they are going to find a way to give more of you a taste of LBP2 prior to launch, so stay tuned. We believe some exclusive Beta or DLC stuff is en route. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
