Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Mobile phones released

Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Mobile phones releasedOpera has released the improved Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Mobile phones. Two months ago, Opera had released Opera Mini 5.1 for Java, Android, Symbian, Android and BlackBerry platform based devices. The new Opera Mini 5.1 brings better support for high resolution handsets, accelerometer and option to set Opera Mini as the default browser.

Opera Mini is a widely popular mobile web browser that has been optimized for a faster web browsing experience on variety of mobile handsets. Apart from new features and number of improvements, Opera Mini makes the web pages load faster using the compression technology at the Opera's Servers. Thus, the data transferred on your phone becomes much less and the pages load faster.






The release notes of Opera Mini 5.1 list following enhancements:

  • Support for g-sensor screen rotation on HTC and Samsung devices.
  • Support for predictive input if the device supports it natively.
  • Improved page layout on high-resolution screens.
  • Improved kinetic scrolling.
  • Alternative installer that works on Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC devices.
  • Text input works on many more devices
  • A host of bug fixes in Opera Mini browser core for stability and rendering accuracy.
