Plantronics has announced the launch of its Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset in India. It offers an improved audio experience with advanced AudioIQ2 and WindSmart technologies which are touted to deliver natural sounding voice in harsh noise environments.The Discovery 975 features AudioIQ2, a new digital signal processing (DSP) technology. There are two microphones to capture the user's voice and simultaneously cancel background noise. Noise cancellation is automatic, by the way. The headset also features something called WindSmart technology which removes wind noise during conversations.
The Discovery 975 comes with a rechargeable carrying case that can triple talk time from 5 hours to up to 15 hours while protecting and storing the earpiece. The case includes an LCD screen that displays the battery and earpiece charge levels, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
The Discovery is quite light weigh at just 8 grams. It also boasts of patented soft gel ear tips for stable, comfortable fit that do not invade the ear canal. The Discovery 975 includes two buttons for ease of use: one button for powering on/off and call answer/end and another button for volume control and mute. It also features voice prompts for low battery warnings, mute status and Bluetooth connectivity.
