Kojima's Next Castlevania Game due on October 5

Konami has announced that it will release hack and slash game Castlevania: Lord of Shadow for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 game console on October 5. Developed by Mercury Steam and with creative inputs from Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, this game is a fresh and re-imagined episode of the popular series that is an epic tale of love, despair and hope. 

Spanish Developers Mercury Steam who has also developed American McGee's Scrapland, has collaborated with Hideo Kojima for Castlevania: Lord of Shadows. In this game, you'll get play Gabriel Belmont who's on a quest to restore The Gold Mask, a relic that can resurrect the dead. Konami boasts that more 50 levels in 3D and bevy of 40 combo attacks to kill the monstrous creatures have been added. 

The hack and slash game play of this Castlevania game would surely attract God of War and Dante's Inferno fans. 

Apparently, Amazon jumped the shark and mistakenly added Special Edition of the game online. However, Game Producer David Cox told Joystiq that "The images of the special edition leaked onto the net are mock ups and NOT final." So far, we don't know what's true but the mockup certainly points that some special edition is being planned behind the closed doors of Konami.
