BlackBerry Atlas is the CDMA Curve 8900?
Blurred shots of what is thought to be of the Blackberry "Atlas", the CDMA counterpart to its GSM cousin the Curve 8900, has been spotted and photographed by folks over at Crackberry. The pictures actually belong to a blogger Salomondrn and as expected with leaks, this one too is a great job at poor photography skills.
The CDMA Atlas is expected to sport almost all the features the 8900 Curve boasts of. The only difference would be the CDMA radio instead of the GSM one. So, apart from the changes inside, visually or otherwise, there will be no change on this one. However, we will have to wait and watch till RIM eventually brings this one out and we have a go at it and validate our above conclusion.
Those of you who are perplexed to see which of the two devices in the attached photograph is the Atlas, it is the phone on the left.
Now, to make matters more confusing, since his first post regarding this new device being a CDMA version, Salomondrn has posted another blog post with newer images, which suggests that this might actually be yet another GSM device without 3G. So, RIM, what's cooking here, huh?
