Nokia 2220 Slide Makes an Appearance

Nokia's yet to be announced low-end slider phone, the 2220 Slide, has made an appearance in photos. The cheap-when-announced, slider phone is a standard Nokia S40-based device that will go on sale later this year at an approximate $100 mark.

As for the features, the phone does pack in quite a few nice features, most of which are let down by the lack of expandable memory. The 128x160 screen is decent enough, there's a 3.5mm jack, FM Radio, Opera Mini and a very basic VGAcamera. With 10 MB of internal memory, the phone is unsuitable for multimedia. The phone boasts of 8 hours of talk time, or up to 400 hours of stand-by time.

The 2220 slide would make a decent entry-level phone for the person who wishes to just stay in touch, make some calls and send the occasional text. For anything more, this one is unsuitable.
