The 4GB black NWZ-S540 will cost Rs. 6,990. The 4GB NWZ-E440 in red, black, pink and violet are priced at Rs. 5,990 while the 8GB black NWZ-E440 will cost you Rs.6,990.
Our lab expert said that the Sony NWZ-S540 and E440 go head-to-head with established rivals like the iPod nano and the Creative Zen. Both these players are popular and are known for their good performance, and the the Sony duo has their work cut out if they want to make a mark in the mind of the consumer.
Sony players are known for their brilliant audio performance and battery life and if the new players are anywhere close to matching the reputation of their predecessors then they won't have any problem tackling the fierce competition. Plus, they have the advantage of being very competitively priced, especially because Sony players are known to charge a premium over the competition.
