While ATI is shooting DirectX 11 supporting graphics cards for desktops, Nvidia decides to remain calm. Hence, Nvidia s add-in graphics cards manufactures see no signal of new cards and introduce overclocked versions for series gamers. Gigabyte did the same by introducing new Gigabyte GTX 275 in its new Super Overclock Series. At the moment, there s no word on price of this card and we ll update you as soon as we hear from Gigabyte.
With Windows 7 carrying DirectX 11 on the verge of launch, Nvidia remains cold with its plans for DirectX 11 graphics cards. For now, Gigabyte GV-N275SO-18I graphics card is powered NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 GPU and features 1792MB GDDR3 Memory with 448-bit memory bus interface. Gigabyte boasts of its GPU Gauntlet Sorting technology in its Super Overclock Series GPUs for best power efficiency and lowest power consumption.
The new Gigabyte GTX 275 graphics card consists of Ultra Durable VGA board carrying 2oz Copper. This is intended to keep GPU temperature 5 to 10 percent down, overclocking up to 10 to 12 percent higher and lesser power switching loss. Gigabyte GTX 275 s graphics core has been overclocked to 715MHz which is higher than 660MHz in the generic version of the card.
Even memory is overclocked to 2520MHz to get wider memory bandwidth over 448-bit memory bus interface. This card supports DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.1 and uses PCI-Express 2.0 x16 bus slot. Promising blazing visuals at 2560x1600 resolution, this card offers HDMI, D-sub and DVI out ports.
Support for slew of Nvidia technologies like CUDA, PureVideo HD and PhysX tags along. With that, this card is also ready for SLI configuration. The best part is that Gigabyte claims that this card is compatible with Windows 7. This is interesting to note.
