So, if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies positions." The post led to a buzz that Sony has been working on cross-game chat for a while and is still under works.
PlayStation 3 firmware update 2.70 brought cross game text chat. To supplement that, cross-game voice chat was in works but not yet ready. Sony doesn't make any confirmations to the speculations or rumors. Yes, the feature is well deserved since quite a number of games are coming with myriad online gameplay. In that case, cross-game chat would add more fun to online gaming via PS3.
