Creative has launched its very first touch screen multimedia player, the Creative Zen X-Fi2. The player was introduced at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show on Sept. 2 in Berlin, Germany.
Measuring 102 x 57 x 11.6mm and weighing a mere 75g, the Zen X-Fi2 media player features a 3-inch TFT LCD touch screen with multi-format support including iTunes Plus and FLAC (lossless) files; video files in WMV9, MPEG4-SP, DivX 4/5 and XviD formats.
The Zen X-Fi2 is the successor to the X-Fi player launched by Creative in August 2008. Apart from being slimmer from its predecessor, the new player implements the company's X-Fi sound technology, a bigger display with touch screen capabilities, a microSD slot, and a TV out connector. TV-out capability enables playback of movies and pictures on a large screen, and users can also sync and download RSS feeds and read them offline on the media player.
The player comes with a built-in speaker, built-in microphone for voice recording as well as a built-in FM radio with 32 presets.
Sporting an ultra slim exterior with an elegant look in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models and with exciting price points,
The Creative Zen X-Fi2 has been priced at $229.99 (Rs. 14, 680) for the 32GB model, $179.99 (Rs. 8, 809) for the 16GB model and $129.99 (Rs. 6, 331) for the 8GB model.
The India availability of this player isn't known yet.
