Known for making silent changes online, Apple has pulled out 40GB Apple TV and slashed the price of 160GB model. Earlier, Apple offered 40GB Apple TV for $229 (Rs. 11,000 approx.) and 160GB model for $329 (Rs. 15,800 approx.). And now, Apple offers only 160GB Apple TV model for $229 (Rs. 11,000 approx.) that came with a price cut of $100 (Rs. 4,800 approx.).
Apple hasn't made any changes in the Apple TV hardware but it's certainly a shocker that Apple dropped the 40GB model. Maybe the company will bring some hardware change to its Apple TV like packing more storage.
AppleInsider found inferences of plans to bring HD content for HDTVs Apple TV in the TuneKit JavaScript Framework. This means HD Content, specifically for HDTVs, would be pushed from Apple's vast media library available on iTunes. Next, Apple is expected to incorporate QuickTime X of Snow Leopard and its HTTP streaming protocol.
