SanDisk Extreme Pro Cards give 90MB/s


SanDisk has announced new Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory cards for amateur and professional photographers. The new SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory cards features power core controller that promises to deliver read and write speed of 90MB/second. New SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash cards are offered in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. The new SanDisk Extreme cards, which are claimed to be faster that SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash cards, also arrive. The new Extreme CompactFlash cards are offered in 8GB to 32GB capacities at price ranging from Rs. 5,499 to Rs. 16,499. The Extreme Pro CompactFlash cards are offered at price ranging from 17,499 to Rs. 57,499. SanDisk boasts that new Extreme Pro CompactFlash cards offer up to 90MB/s of read and writes speeds over UDMA-6 bus. This is enabled due to Power Core controller's dual-lane architecture and software algorithms. These flash memory cards' endurance and data integrity is ensured with 42-bit ECC engine along with firmware algorithms.These new Extreme Pro CF cards are operational under temperatures ranging from -13 F (-25 C) to 185 F (85 C) and RTV silicon protests against moisture. On the other hand, Extreme CompactFlash cards give read and write speeds of up to 60MB/s.
