God of War III Hits U.S. on March 16

The long wait will finally come to an end. Sony, on the PlayStation blog, has now made it official that God of War III for PlayStation 3 will arrive on March 16 for U.S. nationals. A week after that, the game would be made available in European countrie, says a post on PlayStation Europe's blog. We assume that after the U.S. launch, the game would be available to rest of the world including India in couple of weeks.

Kratos, the protagonist, will attempt to destroy mighty Olympus in this third and final installment of the God of War saga. Again, this game is PS3 exclusive and we see no sign if it will be released for PSP. At the E3 2009, Kratos was shown battling his way towards Olympia and that's when the Cinematics spiked our expectations.

Sony will also launch God of War III Ultimate Edition on the same day. This Ultimate Edition will include the game copy, premium colletibles and loads of digital content. Also, one can buy the God of War Collection that includes God of War and God War II in HD for $30 (Rs. 1,400 approx.).

Hopefully, we'll get to see some more videos of God of War III or exclusive/discounted packs at the Game DevelopersConference 2010 which runs from March 9 to March 13.
