Vodafone UK has announced the launch of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz in the UK. The phone, based on the S60 platform, was earlier known as the Kurara. After the UK launch, we can expect the Vivaz to be rolled out in other markets too in the near future. Note that the phone is available for pre-order now. The actual sales will begin starting March 9.
The Vivaz boasts a 3.2 inches touchscreen display, 8MP camera with HD(720p) video recording, GPS, Wi-Fi and an 8GB memory card in the box. The Vivaz is the keyboard less version of the Vivaz Pro that was announced at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2010. It is smaller than the Satio in terms of the overall size and the screen size -- but has quite a few features that even big brother doesn't have
The Vivaz will be available in four color options -- Moon Silver, Cosmic Black, Galaxy Blue, and Venus Ruby. The phone is expected in India too and might turn out to be a good option should it be priced well under the 30k mark.
