Final Fantasy XIV for PC due on Sept. 30

Square Enix has announced that legendary MMO Final Fantasy XIV Collector s Edition for PC would be made available on September 30. However, the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be released via retail in March 2011. This game would be offered in Standard and Collector's Edition. 





Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online game and not a role-playing game like its other version. The game's beta for PC platform will begin in July. Monthly subscription costs $13 (Rs. 600 approx.) and additional playable character costs $3 (Rs. 140 approx.) with a limit to maximum 8 characters per account. 




Special Collector's Edition of FF XIV will have - 

  • Adventurers Branded Tumbler: Carry a small piece of Eorzea around with you with this branded tumbler
  • Behind-the-Scenes DVD: Get an insider look at the making of FFXIV with exclusive video content, interviews and more in this special documentary DVD
  • Early access: Play a few days prior to the release of the PC Standard Edition
  • Free Gameplay: 30-day free gameplay
  • Game Disc
  • Game Manual
  • Guest Pass: Invite a friend to play free for a limited time
  • Map of Eorzea: A detailed map showing the key areas of Eorzea, essential for the committed traveller
  • Security Token: A FFXIV branded Security Token used in addition to your regular password
  • Travel Journal: Record your travels in this journal filled with pages of never-before-seen concept art

This Special edition will cost $75 (Rs. 3,375 approx.) while the Standard PC version will cost $50 (Rs. 2,250 approx.). PlayStation 3 version was to be released along-side PC version but now is now pushed to next year.
