Street Fighter X Tekken Crossover Games Announced

Capcom and Namco Bandai have taken a legendary leap and announced two big crossover titles - Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter. Yes, it made us jump in our seats! Imagine the adrenaline rush while playing a fight between the characters from both franchises. Before you get confused, there are two versions of the game developed by two different game companies - Capcom and Namco Bandai, as Eurogamer reports. This announcement was made at the Comic-Con San Diego 2010 popular arts convention and Capcom aims to release these games in the next two years.

Street Fighter X Tekken uses the engine behind Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV. The characters of Street Fighters would be "re-imagined" in 3D and would fight in a 2D environment. This game will also include Versus, Tag Team and Training mode. This crossover fighting game is being developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game consoles. Capcom aims to release this game before Tekken X Street Fighter.

Namco Bandai would be developing Tekken X Street Fighter and the game will obviously feature legendary Tekken style fighting gameplay.

So, the deal is that both companies would developer cross over game with their own style and gameplay.  Now, we can't even begin to imagine how the fierce battle each fight will turn out to be. Could you have asked something better than this? All we got to do is keep our calendars marked but two years is way too long for us.
