Motorola's latest Android based smartphone, the Charm, was first announced a few days earlier. It was supposed to be on sale early next month but plans to launch the phone have been delayed until August 25, according to new reports.
There is apparently an issue with the phone's battery backup time which Motorola wants to sort out before it makes the handset available to the masses. This comes just days after reports of the Charm being readied for launch on U.S.'s T-Mobile network were out.
As for the phone, the device has a 2.8-inch touchscreen with QVGA resolution and a QWERTY keypad. Thanks to the 600Mhz CPU, Wi-Fi and GPS, this device has the potential to be a good entry level business phone. Other features include a 3 megapixel camera. It supports expandable memory and also comes with a 2GB memory card. The phone currently runs Android 2.1.
The Charm, when launched in U.S., will cost $270 if bought minus contract. There is no word as of now regarding a possible India launch of this phone.
