Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 Media Player

After bringing the first O!Play Air HD media player in earlier this year, Asus has now brought O!Play Air HDP-R3 in India. This is one of the three variants of HD Media Player from Asus. The other two - HDP-R1 and HD2 - were displayed at CeBIT 2010 trade show last month. This new Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 media player allows users to access multimedia content wirelessly. New O!Play Air HDP-R3 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11n support and capable of 1080p HD video streaming. This HD media player is available in India for Rs. 10,500 excluding taxes and is backed with a one year warranty.

New Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 media player is one nice solution where in you can hooking your pen drive or hard drive to play HD content on larger screen. This new R3 version comes with Wi-Fi 802.11n support which is distinct from previous versions of this HD player. For connectivity, this HD Player offers HDMI 1.3 support, combo USB 2.0/eSATA and USB 2.0 port with composite audio-video and digital outputs.

This new HDP-R3 media player also has multi-format memory card reader and wired Ethernet port. The new remote bundled also has a dedicated button to switch media for shuffled music playback.

This HD media player supports MPEG1/2/4, H.264, VC-1 and RM/RMVB content supported in a variety of containers (mp4, .mov, .xvid., .avi., .asf, .wmv, .mkv, .rm, .rmvb, .flv, .ts, .m2ts, .dat, .mpg, .vob, .mts, .tp, .trp, .iso). For audio, it supports MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, AIFF, LPCM and WMA formats support with Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS standards. While one can watch images in JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and even TIFF formats.

Other HD media players from Western Digital and Intex are also available in the market but with different audio-video format supports and prices.
