Google Maps 4.0 For BlackBerry Arrives

BlackBerry users rejoice! Google has finally launched an updated version of Google Maps for BlackBerry devices. The latest version of Maps offers a host of new features that were not present in the earlier versions of the software. These include, Buzz integration, starred locations and Labs for Maps.

Other features include the integration of voice search. Users can now speak out their search queries - instead of typing them. This feature is similar to the one we saw on the Nexus One - albeit applied on a smaller scale. Once you say your search query, Google will then return results and show them on a map relative to the user's location. The Buzz integration will allow users to post their updates using their Buzz account from Maps. There is also an option for users to access stored locations on the desktop version of maps. If that wasn't all, some of the labs features recently introduced to Google Maps are applicable on this mobile version as well.

To get the latest version of Google Maps 4.0 for BlackBerry, all you need to do is to head to http://m.google.com/maps in your BlackBerry's Internet
Browser- and the rest should be cakewalk.
