Now although StarCraft II beta's close beta is running for Windows, Mac users need not feel outcast. Chris Sigaty, lead for StarCraft II, revealed to Kotaku that Blizzard will be releasing StarCraft II Beta for Mac users sometime next week. Apart from that, developers will also release Map Editor for the existing Windows-based StarCraft II beta testers.
Blizzard's sci-fi real-time strategy game StarCraft II had impressed Windows-based closed beta testers. These beta testers will receive a massive update that will now bring the much demanded Map and Mod Editor. This means that beta testers will have fun customizing it by next week. StarCraft II Beta is based on Battle.net architecture.
Last month Blizzard confirmed its plans to introduce StarCraft II beta on Mac platforms sometime in April. And now Sigaty has revealed that the beta for Mac is due next week. So all Mac users, stay glued to this space and also get a Battel.net account at - http://www.battle.net.
The final version of this real-time strategy game StarCraft II is expected to release within the first half of this year. But Blizzard is known for delaying and doesn't compromise on quality or finishing. So we won't be surprised if this game is delayed by a month or two.
