G.Skill brings World's Fastest DDR3 Memory Kit

G.Skill has introduced new extreme performance promising dual-channel Trident DDR3 2GB memory kit running at 2500MHz. This new Trident DDR3 kit is currently world's fastest memory designed specifically to be used with Intel Core i7 800 series microprocessors and Intel P55 chipset based Asus motherboards. G.Skill hasn't announced the price of this DDR3 2500MHz kit. However, considering that the 2000MHz kit of the same Trident family is priced at $200, the new DDR3 2500MHz might be priced anywhere between $200-$260.

Meant specifically for high performance seekers, overclockers and gaming enthusiasts, this new DDR3 memory are meant for Intel Core i7 860 or Core i7 870 microprocessors both officially supporting up to 1333MHz DDR3 memory. G.Skill has partnered with Asus to test this memory kit and make it run at clock speed of 2500MHz by consuming only 1.65V to give CL9-11-9-28 timings.

The two motherboards with which this DDR3 Memory kit was tested are Asus P7P55D-E Deluxe and P7P55D-E EVO. So, in order to use the DDR3 kit in dual channel mode at 2500MHz, one has to use either of the aforementioned motherboards. If you are waiting for Crysis 2 then you better grab this memory as it will add some push since the first Crysis also sought high-end hardware requirement.
